Make plans now to come to beautiful Helena, Montana for the 2011 Western Rendezvous of Art! Presented by and benefiting the Montana Historical Society, this year’s Rendezvous will be held August 18-21 and once again offer many opportunities to enjoy top-quality art and talk with the artists whose work is featured. The forty-seven members of the Northwest Rendezvous Group (NWR) of artists—along with six guest artists—will provide over 200 original works for the Rendezvous’ fixed price art show. Theirs is some of America’s best contemporary art representing diverse styles and subject matters in painting and sculpture. The Western Rendezvous of Art brings great art and great people together for four congenial days of great fun in the Big Sky Country!
The Rendezvous Art Show will be exhibited at Helena’s Red Lion Colonial Hotel, our headquarters throughout the weekend. We’ll gather there for Friday and Saturday evenings in a relaxed environment where it is easy to have informal conversations with Rendezvous folks at and between events. And don’t forget the Artist’s Reception on Friday evening where you can converse with the artists and have them sign your Rendezvous catalogs.
Rendezvous 2011 will also afford you an opportunity to learn a bit more about art with informal seminars. The Artists’ Awards Banquet will honor the best of the 2011 Rendezvous works–a chance to celebrate the NWR artists. You’ll also have the chance to visit the Montana Historical Society, the historic Sieben Ranch, and other great places in historic downtown Helena and our many local attractions.
